He released some albums from ’89-’91, but in ’92 he was sent to prison but after that he made several albums. The songs mention new slang words that people in the Bay used for being under the influence of certain drugs. During this time the songs focused more on the lifestyles of these artists which began to spread throughout the Bay, or what became known as “Yay Area”. It focused more on rap culture than it did on the struggles of being an African American man like it did on the past. In the 2000s there was an explosion of Bay Area rap music that began to spread throughout the state.
